A. Darlene Smith's Bio:
A. Darlene Smith is the Associate Professor of Education at Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN. She has a Bachelor's Degree in K-8 from Carson Newman College and a Master's Degree in Supervision and Administration from East Tennessee State University.
Since August of 2007, she been molding and shaping future educators at Walters State Community College. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is currently working part-time in the Instructional Design office training faculty in mobile learning.
Prior to teaching at WSCC, she worked in the Grainger County and Hamblen County School Systems teaching second, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. She also served as the Pre-school Director of Centenary United Methodist Church for three years.
In August of 2013, she was honored to receive the Distinguished Faculty Award from WSCC. In 2013-2014, she was recognized as one of the first two Mobile Learning Fellows at Walters State, and in Spring of 2014, she was selected to be one of the TBR Mobile Learning Mentors by Dr. Robbie Melton.
She married her husband, Rusty, October 7, 1989, and they have three beautiful children: Daniel, Hannah, and Sarah. Her vision is to help change the world; one child at a time!
